Student Ministry

If you are looking for a place where your student can grow closer to God, have encouraging friends and learn biblical truth, you’re in the right spot. Our Student Ministry is for young adults’ grade 7-12. We meet every Sunday night from 5-6:30pm. But in the summer, we meet on Wednesday nights 6:30-8pm.

We love to do fun and exciting activities outside the church like canoe trips, summer camps, Youth conferences, fun activities and events, and outings. Our purpose is to KNOW God better by GROWing in our knowledge of Jesus, and then GO into our homes, schools and communities and share with others. Our goal is to teach students the following 25 tenants before they graduate:
1. God is good—regardless of how your day, week, month, or year is going.
2. Having a spiritual mentor is essential.
3. How to build godly habits that last.
4. Quietly serving others is more fulfilling than having a large online following.
5. Your friends reflect your values and priorities—choose them wisely.
6.  What the Gospel is and how to share it.
7. Culture doesn’t define truth—God’s Word does.
8. How to share your personal story of coming to know Jesus.
9.  How and why to pray with boldness.
10. God has already determined your value—not culture, not your past. His opinion is what matters most.
11. Jesus calls us to forgive—and to ask for forgiveness.
12. How to live with integrity when no one is watching.
13. What your personal convictions and core beliefs are.
14. What sin and love are—and how they affect your choices.
15. The meaning of life and why you are here.
16. That the Bible is trustworthy—and how to defend it.
17. Who Jesus truly is—and how He is revealed throughout all of Scripture.
18. That Jesus is the only way to God.
19. That the resurrection really happened—and how to defend it.
20. Sometimes God’s answers won’t be what you want—but you can trust Him.
21. How to study the Bible—and stay in it.
22. What a disciple is, how to become one, and how to make one.
23. Why it’s important to be part of the Church—not just the student ministry—and how to stay connected through discipleship and community.
24. The legacy you leave behind matters—in every part of life.
25. Sanctification is a lifelong journey. You won’t arrive—but you must persevere.

We hope your student come and join the fun. If you have any questions, contact our Student Minister, Mike Fielding, at 225-364-6919.
