If you’re not familiar with John, let me give you a little information about him:
John was the lead singer for the secular band “Head East” before God rescued him from drugs and changed his life. In 1986 John was recruited to be the new lead singer for legendary Christian rock band “Petra”. He served with Petra from 1986 till the band retired in 2005. During his time with Petra, the band released 17 albums (two of which were certified “Gold” by the RIAA), sold over seven million albums, won 4 Grammy Awards, 12 Dove Awards, and numerous CCM Reader’s Choice Awards. John Schlitt and Petra have performed in all 50 states and in over 35 different countries. Most importantly, they have lead thousands of people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
