What can I expect at Live Oak's worship service?
At Live Oak you will find our Worship Leader leading the congregation in uplifting and upbeat songs intended to exalt the Name of Jesus Christ. We have a full band leading us on guitar, piano, keyboard, bass guitar, drums, hand percussion and occasionally other instruments. Soloist and worship teams use a mix of traditional and contemporary songs. We also have a drama team that presents the gospel through skits, dramatic readings, and sign language pieces. Sometimes the skits are funny, sometimes serious, but they are always scriptural and relevant. Our pastor uses God's Word to encourage and challenge us to become more Christ-like in our everyday life. Sunday morning worship typically lasts an hour in our 8:00 service and an hour and fifteen minutes for our 10:30 service. The music and sermon are very similar for both services so no matter which service you attend, you can be confident that you won’t miss anything.

How Should I dress?
As Jesus was ministering here on Earth, he never made requirements about what his followers had to wear. He met people right where they were. He was concerned about what was on the inside, not what people looked like on the outside. At Live Oak Baptist, we feel the same way. On most Sunday mornings, the pastor will be wearing dress slacks and a shirt….no tie and no coat. In the congregation, you will see everything from slacks, to dresses, to blue jeans. You can be confident in knowing that however you show up to Live Oak Baptist, you’ll be greeted by someone who is genuinely glad to see you, glad you came, and doesn’t care about the way you dressed. Our only request is that you wear something that is proper and decent for a church setting. After all, we’re here to worship the Living God!
